The Casio WK-200 is a 76-key portable workstation packed with all the most useful features. As a beginner's piano, it includes Casio's proprietary Step-up Lesson System. For more adventurous musicians it features sampling and recording capabilities.
Through sampling you can create you own sounds. The WK-200 has microphone and Audio IN jacks through which you can take samples of up to 10 seconds. Up to 8 sampling tones can be stored (5 Melody Samplings and 3 Drum Samplings). The WK-200's recording feature is more expansive than on many other keyboards in its price category. You can record 5 songs with 6 tracks each, creating rich song full of texture.
The Wk-200 gives you 570 voices to choose from, along with layer and split tone functions, 12 auto-harmonization settings, 10 reverbs, and 5 choruses. 180 rhythms/styles and included, as is a rhythm editor that lets you create 10 of your very own beats. There are also 152 songs preloaded on the WK-200. It also comes with a handy tool called registration. It is a storage space for keyboard setups (8 banks x 4 sets for 32 setups). Registration allows you to save the perfect combination of tones, layering, digital effects, and rhythms so you can instantly pull it up whenever you need it.
